未):An Old Work/To The Latest「Tegan & Sara 2009 album "Sainthood" 全独自訳 Project」

昨年2010年の２月かな、
ボストンのダウンタウンにその時点で二年越しの恋であった
カナディアン・オルタネティブ・トゥインデュオ
Tegan & Sara のライブをようやく観に行けた。

そのライブレポートを日本語の方のブロッグに載せたら少し反響があり、
日本人でT+Sについて語っている人間も実に少ないこともあってか、
読んで頂いた日本のファンの方から"Sainthood"という
彼女達の最新アルバムの全訳詩のオファーを頂きました。

そこで、
自分でも曲を詩を書く人間なのであまり他人の詩を意識しない様に
していたし、ましてや英語を勉強して生きているとはいえ、
翻訳や訳詩という作業に投じた事がなかったのですが、
好きなアーティストであるし、引き受け楽しんでやることにしました。

（T＋Sは女性ですし、その上二人ともレズビアンなので、
ストレートかつ男である僕に勤まっているかは、謎ですが。笑）

実はまだ一曲残して、
（*実際は２曲left、
M-13「Someday」＆ M-11「The Ocean」がまだでした！！）
全体は未完のままで、
そして、それなのにも関わらず調子に乗って
Sainthoodの前作にあたる名作"The Con"の全訳もやります！
宣言までしてしまったのですが（笑）

ここではそのSainthoodのプロジェクトをまとめて置きたいと思います。

Hi there,

this is what I've first been translating English lyrics to Japanese totally as under name MELTRICK posted on my Japanese weblog. It just become my private project by an offer which was given by a Japanese Tegan&Sara fan who had read my live review in Japanese of T+S's in Feb 2010 in Boston. Then, I had almost no experienced doing that kind of things because I am also a song writer and honestly didn't want to see someone's lyrics directly. But I wanted to try to do the lyric translation project that I'd gotten the chance by.

Well, you can see the live review first even in Japanese that I wrote, but there's also photo report which is entirely shoot by my awful and old mobile Japanese phone from the above links.

I have one song left to try editing yet, I already declared that I'm going to try translating lyrics on T+S's one previous masterpiece album "The Con" for the next.

Hope you'll enjoy them and hope they'll have chance to come to Japan without any prejudices.
